For years our internal communication clients have asked us for recommendations on developmental opportunities in the field of communication. And for years, we did not have any strong recommendations for them. The feedback we received about communication conferences and organizations was often unflattering: too broad, too many consultants attempting a sale, and too many one-time attendees and superficial networking events for real relationships to develop with peers.

CRA’s response to this void is The Minnesuing Group: a world-class, invitation-only peer group of senior communication professionals who lead or work in internal communication functions in companies around the world. This peer group—limited to 30 members—gathers annually to address current topics, best practices, and challenges that are central to the practice of communication. Our membership remains generally constant from year to year which allows members to form lasting, valuable relationships with their colleagues, and the 2010 Membership included professionals from McDonald’s, Freddie Mac, IBM, State Farm, and The World Bank, among others.

Members remain in touch through Satellite Sessions and bi-monthly member calls, and each year, the membership concludes with an annual meeting at the Lodge at Minnesuing Acres, a four-star meeting facility located on Lake Nebagamon in northern Wisconsin, just 45 minutes from Duluth, Minnesota. CRA reserves the entire facility for the group’s annual meeting, and we find it to be a truly remarkable place: exemplary service, incredible food, and an atmosphere where work gets done and relationships flourish.

Membership in The Minnesuing Group is by invitation only and is limited to 30. To learn more, please call Malleri Robinson at 610.644.5597.
